‎The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, has hosted frontline troops of 3 Division, Nigerian Army, and the Joint Task Force, Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP), to a Christmas luncheon in Plateau State.

‎The event, held on Thursday, December 25, 2025, was aimed at boosting morale and reinforcing the military high command’s support for troops deployed in internal security operations.

‎Represented by the Commander, Armour Corps, Major General UB Abubakar, the CDS conveyed goodwill messages to the officers and soldiers, describing Christmas as a period of sacrifice and renewal.

‎He commended the troops for remaining steadfast at their duty posts while others celebrated with their families, saying their dedication and professionalism had contributed to improved security in Plateau and neighbouring states.

‎General Oluyede urged the troops to sustain collaboration with other security agencies and maintain positive engagement with local communities.

‎He also reassured them of the Armed Forces’ commitment to improving welfare, healthcare and support for personnel and their families, while emphasising the need for vigilance during the festive period.
