CCTV Footage Shows Final Moments of Woman Allegedly Killed by Husband

Surveillance cameras have captured the harrowing final moments of 30-year-old Davine Kwamboka, who was allegedly killed by her husband at their home, leaving behind young school-going children.

According to CCTV footage, Kwamboka was seen entering her house alongside her husband, Johnson, and an unidentified man. The recordings detail the last 15 minutes of her life, showing interactions inside the home before and after the incident.

A close friend of Kwamboka, Doto Dida, recounted that the couple had returned home earlier in the day following domestic disagreements, intending to resolve them privately. “The husband was agitated, and they quarrelled for some time before he suggested they go home to sort out their differences. The man was drunk and even threatened to beat her,” Dida said.

Footage showed Johnson handling items near a window while on a phone call, as Kwamboka, dressed in a green T-shirt and blue jeans, opened the metallic door and stepped inside. The husband and the unidentified man followed, locking the door behind them. Minutes later, only the mysterious man emerged, appearing restless as he made several phone calls before a boda boda rider arrived to assist.

Kwamboka’s body was subsequently moved onto the motorbike, with additional men helping transport her. Johnson and several suspects believed to be involved were later arrested in connection with her death.

Relatives are demanding justice. “She has young children who need her. We want a thorough investigation and to know the cause of her death,” said Richard Nyahega, a family member.

Social media users have expressed shock and grief over the incident. Comments highlighted concerns about violence against women and the need for stronger protective measures. One user wrote, “It’s so sad. If you no longer need someone, just let them go instead of killing them. Such behaviour should be punished severely.”

This tragic event comes amid growing concerns over domestic violence in Kenya, underscoring the need for awareness and timely intervention to protect vulnerable individuals.
