A Nigerian businesswoman has taken to social media to lament after discovering that one of the shoes she ordered from abroad went missing when her shipment arrived in Nigeria.
The woman, identified online as Iymarboss, alleged that officers of the Nigeria Customs Service tampered with her goods during inspection.
Lady shares how she found her goods
According to her, customs officials tore open her carton, and upon receiving her items, she realized that one of her most expensive sneakers was missing.
Expressing her frustration, she stated that she works hard to sustain her business without any sponsors, emphasizing that every loss affects her deeply.
In a series of emotional posts, she revealed that the missing shoe was part of an order meant for a customer, which has now put her in a difficult position.
“Some of us don’t have sponsors; it’s God fueling our hustle. Imagine these goods belonged to a customer, what explanation would I even give for them to trust me again?” she lamented.
She accuses customs officers of unprofessional conduct
She went on to accuse customs officers of unprofessional conduct, claiming that her goods were tampered with despite being cleared through official procedures. “Most of my goods were tampered with; customs removed items, especially my most expensive sneakers. I’m really hurt,” she wrote.
