According to a recent video by Lucky Udu, a 19-year-old, Friday, has revealed how his stepmother terrorized him with a knife, forcing him to admit to a crime he did not commit.
After his father traveled, she demanded he confess to sleeping with her. “She brought a knife. Like, in the night, if I didn’t tell her the truth, she was going to kill me there,” Friday told an interviewer.
The situation spiraled when she took him to a man who accused him of witchcraft and burned his hands over charcoal. Despite the torture, Friday did not confess, but his injuries became infected.
His stepmother avoided taking him to a hospital, forcing him to work with his swollen hands. A passerby who saw his injury took him to the police, leading to her arrest. By the time he reached a specialist hospital, doctors said the damage was irreversible, and his hand was amputated. Friday, once a top student and chorister, now lives with a guardian who sponsors his education.
His Words: “There was a time she was forcing me to tell the truth. She asked, “Am I sleeping with her?” She brought a knife. At night, she said if I did not tell her the truth, she was going to kill me right there. So I told her that I did not know anything about that.”
