BREAKING: “My Prosperity Plan Is Not in The Bible” – Oyedepo Speaks on Divine Revelation and Wealth Creation

The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, has shared a personal insight into what he described as the foundation of his prosperity journey, emphasizing the role of divine revelation beyond written scripture.

Speaking during a recent sermon, Oyedepo recounted how, in 1982, he received what he termed a transformative spiritual encounter that reshaped his understanding of prosperity and success.

According to the cleric, while the Bible contains numerous promises, his breakthrough came through what he described as “the voice behind the Word.”

He explained that during a period of study and prayer, he heard a clear instruction: “My son David, my prosperity plan is not a promise. It’s not in this book, the Bible.”

Oyedepo clarified that this did not negate scripture but highlighted the importance of personal revelation and spiritual sensitivity in accessing God’s agenda.

He noted that this moment marked a turning point, declaring that despite having no bank account at the time, he became convinced he could never be poor.

Oyedepo further stressed that many believers engage with scripture without making tangible discoveries that can transform their lives.

He argued that true success in God’s Kingdom is anchored on “applied discoveries” from the Word, rather than mere reading or theoretical knowledge. “People read a lot, but do they make discoveries?” he asked, urging believers to cultivate a deep appetite for spiritual understanding.

He concluded that prosperity, according to God’s design, is accessible to those who not only study the Word but also receive and act on divine insight, positioning themselves for lasting impact and transformation.
