Apostle Belema Billy, also known as Queen Belemzy, appeared as a guest on Daddy Freeze’s live session, where she opened up about her wild past before finding salvation. She revealed that before answering the call to ministry, she was a highly successful and popular party promoter based in Houston, Texas, organizing events for nearly 15 years and frequently hosting major African celebrities.
She stated that she lived a completely secular lifestyle, throwing parties every weekend and even on holidays, amassing a massive network of contacts. She noted that her influence was widespread, with flyers placed in almost every African store and barbershop across the city.
According to Apostle Belema Billy, because of her intense involvement in the club scene, people in her community thought she would be the absolute last person to ever give her life to Christ and become a minister. She explained that even she never imagined she would transition from that lifestyle to the pulpit.
She said: “My name is Apostle Belema Billy, also known as Queen Belemzy, from Queen Belemzy Ministry School of Power. I was a party girl in Houston, Texas, and I was very popular. I even got an award as the best party promoter. I organized parties for almost 15 years, and I was not going to church. I used to bring a lot of celebrities and host them, including Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities like Nadia, John Melo, Madrid, and Tonto. It was just a lot of them. I organized parties every weekend, on Fridays, Saturdays, and sometimes Sundays. If there was a holiday and nobody knew where to go, I would organize a party that day. I had almost 3,000 phone numbers on my phone, and my flyers were all over the African stores and barber shops in Houston, Texas. I was very popular, and people thought I was the last person that would ever get saved.”
