Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd.), has issued a new directive empowering frontline troops to immediately engage and sh00t suspected terrorists on sight, without waiting for further clearance.
He gave the order on March 31,2026, and stressed that faster, decisive action is needed to curb the recent wave of deadly attacks across northern communities.
The minister said Nigerians are frustrated with slow responses as bandits and terrorists continue to raid villages.
The military is now adopting new strategies, especially in the north‑east—to strike armed threats quickly and cut through bureaucratic delays.
