Vice President Kashim Shettima has cautioned Nigerians against supporting the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, dismissing the party as lacking substance.
Speaking to a large crowd of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters in Gusau, Shettima described the ADC as “an empty bone,” insisting it has nothing meaningful to offer Nigerians and lacks the capacity to lead the country.
He urged citizens to steer clear of the party, emphasizing that it does not possess the structure or strength required to deliver good governance.
Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity across the country. Speaking during a gathering at his Lagos residence after the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, the President said security remained a top priority discussed during his recent engagements, including meetings in the United Kingdom.
Tinubu also revealed that he has been engaging international partners, including French President Emmanuel Macron, to strengthen support for modern security strategies.
Addressing the Vice President and 23 governors at the meeting, Tinubu stressed that insecurity remains a major obstacle to Nigeria’s growth and prosperity, assuring that his government is working hard to overcome the challenge and ensure a safer future for all citizens.
