Bokku Mart stirs outrage following an advert video which made a tribal slur against the Igbos.
In a widely circulated video, a lady was seen at the popular Lagos mart, advertising their products to Nigerians.
She had showed off various items sold at the mart and their prices.
Lady makes tribal slur
However, a remark she made had stirred a nationwide outrage.
She had opined that the Igbos are cheaters who cheat unsuspecting customers of their money.
While showing off sachets of garri and beans, the lady said …
“You mean I can get beans and garri Ijebu at Bokku without any Omo Igbo cheating me?”
Netizens expresss outrage
Social media users have taken to the comment sections to express outrage over what the describe to be a tribal slur and a labelling of Igbo people as cheaters, or thieves.

The Ad is clearly a “negativity campaign” experiment, wherein the Bokku team attempted to exploit the surging tribal bigotry trend to draw attention to their godforsaken products, hoping benefit from the negative bias.
In a part of the Ad, the nvmbskull of a girl reciting the gibberish said “Without any Omo Igbo cheating me.”
They chose to slur Igbos to win atttion…!
This is an insult taken too far. While this Ad will surely draw the attention of the public, it has to destr0y the purpose for which the Ad was created.✍️”
