Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Opeyemi “Imisi” Ayanwale, has opened up about her special bond with fellow finalist Kola Omotosho, describing him as her “only safe space” during her time on the show.
In a post-show conversation with ex-housemate and media host Doyin David, Imisi reflected on how Kola became her emotional support through the ups and downs of the competition.
She described their friendship as genuine and deeply comforting in a house often filled with pressure and drama.
“I feel like Kola was my only safe space,” she said. “Anytime I felt down, he was always there. When he was down too, I was there for him. He’s always been vulnerable with me.”
Doyin praises their unique platonic bond
Doyin, who hosted the interview, commended the friendship between Imisi and Kola, describing it as one of the most authentic relationships in the history of Big Brother Naija.
According to Doyin, it’s rare to see a strong bond between a male and female housemate that remains free of romantic undertones. She said their dynamic was built on trust, respect, and mutual care rather than attraction.
“I think your friendship with Kola is the best we’ve seen on BBN, not just this season, but in the entire franchise,” Doyin remarked. “It’s difficult to find a boy-and-girl friendship without romantic feelings where they keep rooting for each other.”
