‎The Nigerian Army, through Headquarters 6 Division, has refuted allegations of internal power struggle, welfare neglect and financial exploitation at the 90 Battalion, Koko.

‎A statement by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, described the allegations as unfounded, malicious and a desperate attempt at institutional blackmail.

‎The Army stressed that postings and deployments are routine exercises conducted strictly on professional grounds without religious or loyalty considerations.

‎According to the statement, the Commanding Officer of the battalion has continued to discharge his responsibilities professionally, adding that there are established channels for addressing grievances within the force.

‎The Division assured the public that any genuine case of misconduct would be investigated, urging residents of the Niger Delta to remain confident in the Army’s commitment to security.
