Apply for Carewave ASPIRE Scholarship 2026 — Get ₦500,000 Yearly

The Carewave Foundation has opened applications for the Carewave ASPIRE Scholarship Programme (CASP), offering financial support to Nigerian undergraduate students who demonstrate academic excellence and genuine financial need.

The scholarship is designed to help students from vulnerable and financially disadvantaged communities continue their education without financial hardship becoming a barrier. The programme will initially provide support for one academic year, with renewal subject to academic performance and compliance with programme requirements.

According to the foundation, successful scholars will receive ₦500,000 yearly. The scholarship package includes tuition support and a living stipend. The programme also aims to provide scholars with mentorship, leadership development, career guidance and professional networking opportunities.

The scholarship covers several disciplines, including Health and Medical Science, Technology and Digital Information, Engineering and Infrastructure, Science, Environment and Food Systems, Business, Economics and Finance, Law, Governance and Social Security, Social Science and Human Development, Communication, and Humanities and Culture.

The initiative is merit- and need-based, meaning applicants are expected to show both strong academic potential and circumstances that make financial assistance necessary. The foundation said it wants to support students whose education could be disrupted by costs such as tuition, institutional charges, learning materials, accommodation and other university-related expenses. CASP therefore combines financial assistance with wider development opportunities intended to help scholars build confidence, professional skills and useful networks during their studies.

The foundation includes humanities and social sciences, recognising their importance to Nigeria’s development alongside science, technology, engineering and health fields and professions.

The foundation said applicants will be assessed based on academic performance, financial circumstances, integrity, leadership potential and commitment to their education. The scholarship is initially for one academic year, while students who meet the required standards may be considered for renewal in subsequent sessions.
