Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of targeting his party despite its political dominance. Speaking on Channel Television’s Politics Today, Abdullahi claimed the ADC remains calm while the APC is reportedly panicking.
He noted that even with 34 governors and control of nearly all National Assembly seats, the APC continues to sponsor court cases against the ADC in an apparent effort to destabilize the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Abdullahi alleged that the APC constantly references the ADC in political discussions while attempting to undermine it. He criticized the ruling party for spending large sums on legal actions against a party whose members often struggle with basic needs.
Dismissing concerns about the ADC’s viability, Abdullahi stated there is no legal or political risk in contesting elections under the ADC platform. He emphasized that party members can safely run for office without fear of political repercussions.
He concluded that the ADC remains focused on its objectives, undeterred by APC actions, and is prepared to participate actively in the upcoming electoral process while maintaining party stability and cohesion.
