APC mobilises for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election in Ogbomoso

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, on Monday, stormed Ogbomoso to mobilise members in the zone to endorse President Bola Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.

In a move facilitated by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Team led by Sen. Teslim Folarin, party stakeholders resolved to traverse the seven geopolitical zones and fourteen federal constituencies in the state to rally support for the president and the APC ahead of the 2027 polls.

Speakers at the open-air rally held at Soun Hall, Ogbomoso, were unanimous in calling for unity and understanding among leaders and members of the APC in the state.

The speakers including the former Senate leader, Folarin, that only unity among stakeholders could guarantee success for the party in future elections.

In his keynote address, the former Senate leader charged party members to take the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots, emphasising that informed minds must educate others about the quality of leadership offered by the president.

He reiterated that since assuming office the President has left no stone unturned in repositioning Nigeria and guaranteeing prosperity, stability and peace for the citizenry.

“Our mission here today is to tell the whole world that we in Oyo State are ready to fully embrace the Renewed Hope Agenda and showcase the spirit of love and togetherness that is prevailing in our great party at the moment.

“At the appropriate time, we will hit the nooks and crannies of the state to mobilise voters for the 2027 general elections, as it will be a total victory for the APC, “Folarin said.

Similarly, Ambassador designate, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, enjoined members to promote unity and peace among themselves.

“It is obvious that the APC is the only formidable political party in the state, and I can assure you that the current atmosphere of peace will be nurtured and sustained as all key stakeholders have agreed to work together for the re‑election of our dear president and to return the APC to Agodi Government House in 2027,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the high point of the meeting was the endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term and the formal welcome of hundreds of defectors from other political parties into the APC.

The new members were drawn from Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Ogo‑Oluwa and Surulere local government councils.

Stakeholders present included chairman of APC in Oyo State, Alhaji Olayide Abas, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, and a former deputy governor, Chief Iyiola Oladokun.

Also in attendance were former deputy governors -Chief Alake Adeyemo, and Alhaji Rauf Olaniyan; Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari, Sen. Sarafadeen Alli,  Sen. Yunus Akintunde, and Sen. Ayoade Adeseun,

Others included Chief Sunday Dare, Special Adviser Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Hosea Agboola, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Chief Akin Oke, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, Hon. Olamiju Alao-Akala, Dr Akin Onigbinde, SAN, Hon. Olagunju Ojo, Hon. Asimiyu Alarape, among others.(NAN)
