All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Candidates’ Screening Committee in Kogi has cleared the state assembly Speaker, Aliyu Yusuf, and other aspirants for 2027 polls.
The exercise, held on Saturday in Lokoja, also screened other Kogi State House of Assembly aspirants ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking to journalists after screening, the Speaker, Aliyu Yusuf, described the process as “seamless”.
He commended APC leadership in the state for commitment to a hitch-free and transparent selection process.
He also praised Gov. Ahmed Ododo for commitment to providing enabling environment for effective party governance.
He applauded APC State Chairman, Mr Momoh Ezzu, for demonstrating expertise in party administration.
He said the credible process showed APC remained a strong platform for elections and a party of the masses.
“We have confidence in those fielded by the party to sustain winning streak beyond the polls,” he said. (NAN)
