A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after discovering that the “anointing oil” often used by pastors for miracles is actually cooking oil.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she held three bottles of oil while expressing disbelief.
The woman said the Nigerian in her could not accept that the anointing oil she had always known is just ordinary cooking oil.
Lady Questions ‘Holy’ Oil Revelation
In the video captioned “Our almighty anointing Nigerian oil is just cooking oil?” she admitted she was confused.
While reading the bottle’s label, which clearly stated “extra virgin olive cooking oil,” she expressed shock and joked that she might as well use it for cooking.
According to her, she had always believed the oil was special and very expensive. The clip has since gone viral, sparking a wave of comments and debates among netizens.
Mixed Reactions Trail the Video
Reacting to the clip, a user named Agbalaka wrote, “The source of the oil determines what it’s used for, innit? 😂😂😂”
Another, 777 Racle, commented, “This is what I use to cook in my house. I intentionally go out to buy Goya for the best cooking oil experience 😂.”
Meanwhile, Correctany said, “That bottle isn’t even olive oil. Everything sold in that God-forsaken country is fake — including most of our pastors and GOs.”
