Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay Idibia has opened up about her expectations for her next relationship following her divorce from music star 2Baba.
It would be recalled that the actress’s marriage to the veteran collapsed some months ago, after which 2Baba married a different woman and has since moved on with his life.
In a recent Instagram story post, the mother of two stated that she desires a partnership where both partners grow together in every aspect of life.
“I want a relationship where we both get hotter, healthier, happier, and wealthier together. Simple thing, Pere,” she wrote.
Advice to women on relationships
In a follow-up post, Annie shared advice targeted at women, warning them against financial exploitation in relationships.
“If he asks you to lend him money or sign a loan in his name, even if you want to help, don’t agree. Otherwise, you risk losing both your love and your money,” she reposted.
She also urged women never to sacrifice their ambitions solely to please a partner.
Living the ‘soft life era’
Her latest revelation comes after a series of cryptic and reflective posts on social media. Just a day earlier, Annie posted a video of herself partying with celebrity stylist Swanky Jerry and others, describing this new chapter of her life as her “soft life era,” complete with boundaries.
Lessons from the past
Earlier this month, she hinted at personal struggles, expressing hope that her daughter would grow up knowing her worth and never repeating mistakes she had made. In another post last month, she admitted that her way of moving on is simply to “archive and move on.”
Annie and 2Baba’s marriage, which lasted over a decade, was marred by controversies before it ended, and the actress has since embraced a more outspoken approach to love, life, and self-worth.
