The Senate has told former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and ex-Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, to “take a bow and go” during the ambassadorial screening on Thursday.
DAILY POST earlier reported that President Bola Tinubu’s ambassadorial nominees arrived at the Senate ahead of their screening on Thursday.
Some of the ambassador designates were spotted at the National Assembly, including former presidential spokesperson Reno Omokri and ex-governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Their screening comes amid a call from former Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, for Tinubu to withdraw his list of nominees.
Ndume argued that the composition of the nominees violates the Federal Character principle as mandated by the Nigerian Constitution.
