An alleged audio recording of Nigerian politician and businessman Ned Nwoko admitting to slapping his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has gone viral on social media.
The leaked clip, shared by Regina’s elder brother, Lawrence Daniels, popularly known as Swezzy, has set the internet buzzing with mixed reactions.
The audio comes days after Ned publicly denied ever assaulting his wife, instead blaming her brothers for what he described as her alleged drug use.
But the newly surfaced recording seems to contradict his earlier statement.
What Was Heard in the Leaked Clip
In the viral conversation, Lawrence is heard confronting a voice alleged to be Ned’s over claims of domestic abuse.
Lawrence tells him, “You’ve lived in the UK for years; you know you cannot go to court in the UK and tell the court, ‘I slapped her two times.’”
The voice, said to be Ned’s, boldly responds; “I will say that anywhere.” When pressed further, he adds, “Let me tell you, I will slap… if my wife does something.”
The clip has since spread widely across social media platforms, attracting thousands of comments and shares within hours of its release.
