Alex Otti offers automatic employement to 9 ex-corps members from Abia

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has offered automatic employment to nine ex-corps members of Abia origin who recently bagged the prestigious National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Presidential Honour Awards in their respective states of service.

The governor made the announcement on Tuesday when he hosted the awardees, who were accompanied by the NYSC State Coordinator, Gladys Adama, at the Government House in Umuahia.

Otti Lifts Employment Embargo

Governor Otti explained that the gesture was not just to reward excellence but also to inspire other young people to remain committed in their various fields of service.

“On behalf of the state government, you are going to leave here with a token. But beyond the token, I hereby temporarily lift the embargo on employment to employ the nine of you, except if any of you is not interested,” Otti stated.

He directed the State Head of Service to issue appointment letters without delay, noting that the awardees had already proven themselves worthy of the recognition.

The new employees are Nwogu Chinonso, Anyanwu Promise, Ezieme Uba, Emmanuel Ezinne, Abia Grace, Nwafike Chiemela, Ugwa Mark, Eke Miracle and James Chukwuebuka.
