The General Manager, Inspiration 105.9 FM, Uyo, Reverend Silas Ufot has expressed confidence that God’s glory would be brought down at his office’ Christmas Family Praise Jam in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He noted that when such is done, challenges rocking the state and the people would be lifted.
Addressing a press briefing at the NUJ Secretariat, Uyo at the weekend, Rev Ufot noted that where prayers could not reach, praises could, even as he enjoined the masses to resort to praising God amidst their travails.
He said, ‘I believe that the most potent way to move God and bring down His glory is through praise. When David did that, he overcame many of his challenges. If you can open your heart and praise God, there will be a total turnaround in all you do.
“So we expect God to visit our nation, Nigeria, our state, Akwa Ibom and help the Governor Umo Eno, to interpret his ARISE agenda. We expect Him to come through for us in every of our endeavour as we praise Him.”
Still harping on the importance of praise, Ufot recalled how a caller phoned in during a live radio programme testifying how he jettisoned his suicidal attempt after listening to a soul lifting song “Amazing Grace” on the programme.
He called on the weary, heavy hearted and everyone to attend the praise jam with expectations that God would intervene in their cases.
Meanwhile, artists who took turns to talk about the event expressed hope that it will have an impact on the people and communities at the end of the day.
