The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has congratulated the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Yusuf Tanko Sununu, on the occasion of his 59th birthday, describing him as a distinguished patriot and exemplary public servant committed to national development.

Akume, in a congratulatory message on Wednesday, praised Sununu’s career spanning the healthcare sector, the legislature and the executive arm of government, noting that his service reflects a people-centred approach to governance and a strong commitment to nation-building.

The SGF commended the Minister’s efforts in advancing policies and interventions aimed at poverty alleviation, social protection and support for vulnerable Nigerians through the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.

According to him, the initiatives align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Akume described Sununu as a mentor and bridge-builder whose leadership continues to inspire younger generations and strengthen democratic ideals while contributing to development within his constituency and across the North-West.

The SGF prayed for renewed strength, sound health and greater wisdom for Sununu as he continues to serve the nation.
