Akpabio’s Adviser Mourns Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi

The Special Adviser to the President of the Senate On Diaspora and Non-governmental Organizations, Dr. Jibril Lawal Tafida has expressed deep sadness over the demise a renown Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

In a condolence message on the passing of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, Dr. Tafida said “it is with profound sadness that I learned of the passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, the revered leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, at the venerable age of 101”, adding that his demise marks the loss of “a towering figure in Nigeria’s religious and moral landscape”.

He said Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was more than a cleric; “he was a beacon of peace, moderation, and piety who dedicated his life to teaching, preaching, and guiding millions of followers across Nigeria and beyond.

“His deep knowledge as an exegete of the Holy Quran and his unwavering commitment to advocating for harmony and spiritual growth made him a moral compass for many.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi ‘s passing, he said, leaves a monumental void in the hearts of his family, followers, and the nation at large. I join Nigerians in mourning this great loss and extend my heartfelt condolences to the Sheikh’s family, his disciples, and all who were privileged to know him.

Dr. Tafida all and sundry to honour Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s legacy by embracing his teachings of peaceful coexistence, compassion, and devotion to God, adding that “his life remains an enduring example of faith and service to humanity”.

“May Allah (SWT) grant him eternal peace and give strength to all those who mourn him”, he concluded.
