Publisher of August24news.com, Ajagbe Adeyemi Teslim, has presented a Governance Advisory Council (GAC) frame to the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
The frame, unveiled at the Speaker’s office in Alausa, Ikeja, contained the names, photographs, and local government details of the 35 members of the Lagos GAC. It also included a tribute segment recognising eight deceased members of the council.
Ajagbe explained that the initiative was designed to showcase unity and preserve the legacy of the political leaders. “This is more than a frame; it is a visual history that honours our leaders and inspires upcoming politicians,” he said.
Speaker Obasa, in his remarks, commended the effort, describing it as a “brilliant research work that immortalises the contributions of our political elders.” He pledged to keep the frame as a reference for future generations.
A member of the GAC, Alhaji Mutiu Are, described the council as “one of the beauties of Lagos politics.” Political analyst Mojeed Jamiu also praised the initiative, noting that GAC members deserve wider recognition
