After over 20 years in US, man deported to UK cries out, says ‘life there is miserable’

A man identified as @stateless.citizen on TikTok has shared his heartbreaking experience after being deported from the United States (US) to the United Kingdom (UK), a country he says he despises.

According to him, he had lived in the US for more than 20 years, practically his entire life, before immigration officers suddenly showed up at his doorstep.

“I got deported after 20+ years and 97+ percent of my life in the United States. ICE agents picked me up in Chicago and threw me in jail for three weeks because my parents did not file my paperwork correctly,” he revealed.

Picked Up and Detained by ICE

The man explained that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested him in Chicago and detained him for three weeks.

He said the deportation stemmed from a paperwork issue his parents failed to handle properly when he was younger.

“They brought me to the United States on a visa, overstayed that visa, had opportunities to appeal it in court, and my father did not show up to court,” he added.

The deportee said his parents’ negligence cost him everything, as he had built his entire life in the United States.

Struggling to Adjust in the UK

Now living in the United Kingdom, the man confessed that he finds it hard to adapt to life there.
He openly expressed his frustration about the country, saying he prefers the US and can’t wait to return.

“Now, I am in the United Kingdom and this country suc’ks and it has made me more America first. Because you see that outside of London, all of England is a 3rd world country. A dump. I hate it here,” he lamented.

He disclosed that he has been given a 10-year ban from entering the United States and is counting down the years until he can go back home.

Canceled Wedding and Emotional Struggles

The man also revealed that his deportation disrupted his personal life and forced him to cancel his wedding plans with his fiancée in America.

“And I am excited and ready to go back to the United States. But I have a 10-year ban to wait out and I am waiting to bring my fiancée over because I had scheduled that I had to cancel,” he shared.

He said the situation has taken a heavy emotional toll on him, but he’s learning to forgive his parents despite everything.

“It has taken everything in me to forgive my parents for what they have done to me and all they have caused. But I will keep going on,” he said.

Hoping to Return Home

Despite the challenges, the deportee remains hopeful and determined to return to the United States once his ban is lifted.
