Aisha Wahab, a young Nigerian woman kidnapped in Auchi, Edo State, has regained freedom after a ₦20 million ransom payment.
This development comes after spending two weeks in captivity.
Details Of Her Release
Her release was announced by Davido’s personal logistics manager, Israel DMW, via an Instagram post.
According to Israel DMW’s post, the ₦20 million ransom demanded by the abductors was paid in full, and her family confirmed her release to him.
His post reads,“Aishatu has just been released by her captors, after paying the complete 20m. No kobo was deducted. The family just confirmed her release to me.
Harrison Gwamnishu Breaks Silence On Aisha Wahab’s Release
In a recent Facebook post, human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu confirmed Aisha Wahab’s release.
According to him, certain technical equipment required for the operation couldn’t be deployed without official authorization.
His post included a video of Aisha’s release, expressing relief that she was unharmed.
Furthermore, the human rights activist commended individuals who played a role in securing her release, while expressing frustration over the lack of government support during the rescue operation.
“There are several proven avenues to capture these kidnappers. We demand immediate Government intervention, coordinated field operations, and full support for law enforcement. Lives are at stake”, He stated in his post.
