AFRIFF Awards: Bolanle Austen-Peters celebrates as she wins Best Feature Film award



Nigerian filmmaker, Bolanle Austen Peters shows excitement as she takes home the Best Feature Film award at the AFRIFF Awards.

The Africa International Film Festival, AFRIFF, award ceremony took place om Saturday at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.

The event was attended by film practitioners like Kunle Afolayan, Segun Arinze, Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, Kate Henshaw, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Lateef Adedimeji, Mo Bimpe and AFRIFF founder Chioma Ude.

The filmmaker’s movie, Funmilayo: The Lioness of Lisabi, won the best screenplay and best feature film and she dedicated her win to the family of the late activist, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti.

Sharing a video from the event, Bolanle noted that God has got her back. She also said she and her team have a great movie with great subject so they have every reason to celebrate.

She thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the movie.
