“African parents are so bold” – Lady calls out mother of BBNaija winner Imisi for ‘stealing spotlight’ after abandoning her

An unidentified lady on x (formerly Twitter) has drawn attention online after dragging Rashidate Ayanwale, mother of Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi Ayanwale.

The controversy arose following Imisi’s victory, which brought widespread joy to her fans and family.

However, the Twitter user, who identified as a feminist and goes by @MsAdaO, accused the mother of taking the spotlight at her daughter’s big moment despite allegedly abandoning her at age 12.

Allegations Stir Online Reactions

In a viral tweet, @MsAdaO highlighted Imisi’s hardships growing up, claiming she had been assaulted and had to terminate a pregnancy at a young age while living under extremely challenging circumstances.

She expressed shock over Imisi’s mother’s public presence during celebrations of her daughter’s achievements.

According to her post: “African parents are so bold. Throw a 12-year-old girl out of the house and she gets r*ped, has to abort and live under the bridge yet you’re front and centre at her biggest moment as if you didn’t leave her for dead. Insane.”

The tweet has since gone viral, prompting a flood of reactions in the comment section.

Mother’s Public Role Draws Attention

Rashidate Ayanwale recently appeared in public praying over Imisi’s new car, an act that reignited discussions about her role in her daughter’s life.

Social media is now buzzing with debates over whether her presence is genuinely supportive or opportunistic, given the past allegations.
