Former Senator Shehu Sani criticized opposition figures involved in the newly forming ADC coalition, saying many lack the lived experience of sacrifice and would defend the government if they were part and parcel of it.
Shehu Sani made the remarks during an interview on MIC ON PODCAST questioning the credibility and moral authority of some opposition members now aligning with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
Shehu Sani argued that several opposition figures cannot credibly speak about democracy, freedom, suffering, and sacrifice. He questioned how many of them are making real sacrifices and pointed to their past roles in government as undermining their current posture as critics. He described it as a mockery for former ministers, senators, and governors to portray themselves as champions of the hungry.
Sani stated,
