The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has expressed its endorsement of the security measures implemented by Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, pledging to collaborate with his administration to further promote peace and stability within the state.
This endorsement was articulated during a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, coinciding with the Forum’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
Alhaji Dalhatu Wazirin Dutse, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, commended the governor’s leadership and security initiatives, highlighting the notable improvements in safety and security that Kebbi has experienced under his stewardship. “We appreciate your efforts in safeguarding lives and property in Kebbi State,” he remarked. “Your administration’s dedication to the welfare and security of the citizens is highly commendable,” Dutse added.
The ACF Chairman further underscored the Forum’s commitment to safeguarding and advancing northern interests and values, stressing the necessity for collective action to confront security challenges in the region.
“We are ready to collaborate closely with your administration to address security concerns and foster development in Kebbi State,” he asserted.
Mamman Mike Osman, SAN, Chairman of the ACF National Executive Council, advised the governor to remain vigilant against emerging security threats while commending his proactive stance on security management. “Your administration’s efforts to uphold peace and stability in Kebbi State are praiseworthy,” Osman stated.
In response, Governor Idris assured the ACF of his administration’s commitment to preserving peace and security in Kebbi, pledging to continue working in close partnership with security agencies and stakeholders to tackle security challenges.
“We are determined to do everything within our power to ensure the safety and security of our citizens,” he affirmed. “We value the support and cooperation of the ACF and look forward to working together to create a more secure and prosperous Kebbi State.”
