The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has condemned the recent wave of abductions and the escalating insecurity troubling various parts of the country, describing the situation as “unacceptable and deeply distressing.”
In a statement issued by its President, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, AANI expressed grave concern over the persistent attacks that continue to inflict fear, pain, and uncertainty on Nigerians.
AANI extended heartfelt sympathy to families of victims of kidnappings, violent attacks, and other security breaches nationwide, assuring them of the Association’s solidarity during this difficult period.
The Association urged the Federal and state governments, alongside security agencies, to adopt more proactive, intelligence-driven measures and act swiftly to ensure the safe rescue of all abducted persons. It called for coordinated and decisive action to halt the worsening security situation.
Reaffirming its commitment to national development and strategic leadership, AANI stated its readiness to partner with government and security institutions to find lasting solutions to Nigeria’s security challenges.
“The safety of every Nigerian must remain a top priority,” Ambassador Okafor emphasized, stressing that collective effort and renewed resolve are essential to restoring peace, security, and public confidence in the nation.
