Three suspected “one chance robbers” have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly robbing and pushing victim out of their moving operational vehicle on the highway.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 25th August, 2025, at toll-gate along Ibadan Expressway, Ketu, Lagos.
They were said to have robbed the victim, Uboni Noble and pushed him out of their operational vehicle.
The suspects, Adebayo Solomon, 32, Morufu Sheriff, 25 and Biola Rasaq,31 have been arrested and charged before the Court for conspiracy, robbery and attempting to kill the victim.
According to the Police, the victim boarded their vehicle unknown to him that they were robbers until they threatened to kill. They dispossessed him of his valuable property, pushed him out of their vehicle and escaped.
However, the incident was reported to the Police at Area H Command in Ogudu. The Police operatives moved into action, eventually arrested the suspects and they were identified by the victim.
After interrogation, the Police found them culpable and they were charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT 1: “That you, ADEBAYO SOLOMON ‘M’. MORUFU SHERIFF ‘M’, BIOLA RASAQ ‘M’ and others now at large, on the 25th day of August, 2025, at about 0730hrs at toll-gate along Ibadan Expressway, Ketu, Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did rob one Uboni Noble and forcefully collected his money, twenty five thousand (N25,000) and his android phone valued One Hundred and Fifty Thousand (N150,000) and also pushed him out of the moving bus, Volkswagen with Registration No. GBJ 92 XA (Delta State) and thereby committed and offence contrary to and punishable under Section 296 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT 2: “That you, ADEBAYO SOLOMON ‘M’, MORUFU SHERIFF ‘M’, BIOLA RASAQ ‘M’ and others at large in the same place, date and time in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did unlawfully attempt to kill one Uboni Noble by pushing him down from a moving vehicle, Volkswagen with Registration No. GBJ 92 XA (Delta State) on the highway and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 230(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
They pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
