As a result of the alleged gang rape of a woman who was 21 years old, three males have been detained in the area of Tea Estate Inanda, which is located north of Durban in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
Residents of the neighbourhood have taken prompt action in response to the incident, which is believed to have taken place late on Saturday night. They assisted in the arrest of suspects who are believed to have been engaged in the attack. The incident has aroused fury among the community.

After some time had passed, the mother of the complainant went back to her house, but the young woman remained there.
The complainant was contacted by an unknown male who gave her further drink after her boyfriend had left the pub, according to the information that was provided to the authorities for investigation. According to reports, a number of more males ended up joining them, and the group proceeded to drink together. According to the allegations, the males made an offer to accompany the complainant when she mentioned that it was becoming late and that she wanted to go back home.
Instead, she was allegedly led to a nearby bush area, where she was raped by many individuals over the course of the incident.
According to reports, the victim approached a neighbourhood resident for assistance at roughly nine o’clock on Sunday morning. The public recognised persons who had been seen with her the night before. These individuals had been seen with her. After that, people of the community quickly organised themselves and went to a residence in Buffelsdraai, where they were able to positively identify the suspects.
Residents were successful in apprehending three males, ranging in age from 25 to 29 years old. According to reports, they were restrained with rope to a wooden structure before being transported back to the location where the alleged crime took place. In the course of this investigation, the complainant’s pants and T-shirt were found and retrieved as possible pieces of evidence. At this time, there are four more suspects still at large.
Prior to the intervention of the police, it is alleged that people of the community assaulted the three guys. It has been revealed that two of the individuals who were arrested are foreign nationals from the country of Malawi.
A short time later, the suspects were turned over to the authorities and taken into custody at the South African Police Service (SAPS) Verulam facility located in KwaZulu-Natal. As the authorities continue their efforts to locate the remaining suspects and evaluate the forensic evidence related to the case, investigations are still undergoing proceedings.
