A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ibrahim Modibbo, has predicted an early defeat for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking on AIT’s Democracy Today, Modibbo expressed confidence in the chances of ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, describing him as a politician whose experience and nationwide support would give him an advantage over his opponents.
Modibbo declared that Tinubu’s defeat would become evident shortly after voting begins.
“President Bola Tinubu will be defeated before 8 o’clock on the day of the election,” he said.
The ADC chieftain, however, did not cite polling data or other evidence to support his prediction.
Modibbo also criticised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, accusing him of using public resources for political activities and questioning his understanding of political dynamics outside Rivers State.
He particularly argued that Wike’s political experience in Rivers State does not necessarily translate into an understanding of voting patterns across the North and other parts of Nigeria.
