2 Ladies Arrested For Receiving Assorted Human Hairs Worth N224m

Two ladies, Stella Dibua, 25 and Blessing Umenyi, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly receiving stolen factory human hairs worth over N224m belonging to Ezeh Faith Osike at the Trade Fair Complex. 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened between August, 2024 and 29th July, 2025 at Plateau Plaza, BBA, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos State.

According to the Police, the suspects had conspired with others now at large, dishonestly received the stolen items before the complainant discovered and reported the matter to the Police at Trade Fair Division.

They were then arrested and consequently charged before the Ojo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

The charges read:

“That you, Stella Dibua and Blessing Umenyi and others at large between August, 2024 to 29th July, 2025 during the day time at Plateau Plaza, BBA, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial district, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: receiving stolen property and thereby committed an offence contrary to, and punishable under Section 411, Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”

COUNT II:”That you, Stella Dibua, 25 and Blessing Umenyi and others at large, on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial district, did dishonestly receive the following factory human hairs:- (i) Eleven pieces (11) pieces 30″ Vietnam Bone straight factory human hair valued N620,000 each, total valued N6,820,000.00 (ii) 250 pieces of Vietnam short hairs valued N200,000 each, total valued N50,000,000.00 (iii) 4 pieces of factory bounce, valued N307,000 each, total valued N1,228,000.00 (iv) 20 pieces of luxury bounce valued N407,000 each, total valued N8,140,000.00 (v) 8 pieces of china bounce valued N350,000 each total valued N2,800,000.00, (vi) 4 pieces of frontal hair bounce valued N307,000 each, total valued N1,228,000.00, (vii) 3 pieces of closure bounce valued N197,500 each, total valued N592,000 (viii) 6 pieces of pixie coilvalued N117,300 each, total valued N703,800 (ix) 11 pieces of factory deep wave N129,000 each, total valued N1,419,000.00 (x) 120 pieces of layer bounce luxury valued 308,100 each total valued N37,000,000 (xi) 15 pieces of 32″ valued N178,000 each total valued N2,670,000.00 (xii) 100 pieces of Master plus luxury bundles valued N160,000 cach total valued N16,000,000.00, (xiii) 45 of pieces pixie curls patinal valued N123,000 each total valued N5,535,000.00, (xiv) 28 pieces of closure pixie valued N118,000 each, total valued N3,304,000.00, (xv) 17 pieces of normal factory11.2025 valued N123,300 each, total valued N2,096,100.00 (xvi) 7 pieces of wary bounce valued N350,000 each, total valued valued N82,360,000.00. Total valued Two hundred and Twenty 2,450,000.00 (xvii) Burmes, Saxy Curls, Yaki straight and others Naira (N224.345,100.00) knowing same to be stolen or dishonestly four Million, Three hundred and forty-five thousand, One hundred obtained property of one Ezeh Faith Osike ‘f and thereby committed an offence contrary to, and punishable under Section 328(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”

However, they pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Esther Adesulu, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.M. Ogun, granted them bail in the sum of N3m each with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
