“17 months of her salary”- Woman cries out over new employee’s shocking request

‎An entrepreneur has shared details of a request received from a recently hired employee.

‎The female entrepreneur, @ChiomaAmandi on X (formerly Twitter), shared that the employee who requested a N1.7 million salary advance was hired just a month ago.

‎Female Entrepreneur Cries Out

‎According to her, after reading the employee’s mail, she sought advice from elderly colleagues in the organization ,to avoid making a wrong decision.

‎In her tweet, which conveyed her outrage over the employee’s audacious act, the entrepreneur stated she’s yet to share the tip of the iceberg of her encounters with employees.

‎”One month and you’re already treating your employer like a personal credit facility.And then people wonder why founders become extremely guarded over time.It usually gets to a point, guyss.What’s this madnesss?”, The tweet reads in part.

‎The tweet, which has garnered over 300,000 views, was attached with a screenshot of the new employee’s request.

I read the need isn’t particularly serious then the employee should have looked for an alternative somewhere and paid from their salaries instead of requesting an advance one month into the job”.
