Recall that there have been a variety of reactions and disputes following the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the election on February 25.
After the petitions were heard, several civil society organizations gathered in front of the Court of Appeal to exert pressure on the judges to rule fairly on the petitions.
Asari Dokubo, a former leader of the Nigerian Ijaw Youth Council, however, led several young people from the Niger Delta to Abuja.
Asari Dokubo explained to news media that they came to Abuja primarily to defend the mandate that the majority of Nigerians gave to Tinubu.
Hear him: Most Nigerians chose Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their candidate. We travelled to Abuja to support the authority that Nigerians voluntarily grant to Tinubu. Democracy has the advantage of allowing both the majority and the minority to express their opinions. We’ll occupy this space till the session is over.
