The news of Murphy Afolabi’s untimely demise reverberated across the online community just hours ago.
Fellow actor and director Tunde Ola Yusuf took to his Instagram page to confirm the tragic news, expressing his condolences and praying for Afolabi’s soul to find eternal rest.
Yusuf’s heartfelt tribute read;
“We lost a strong filmmaker, Murphy Afolabi… May God rest your soul bro.”
Further details surrounding the circumstances of Afolabi’s passing were shared by his colleague, Seun Oloketuyi.
Oloketuyi revealed that the talented actor had slipped in the bathroom, causing him to hit his head on a hard surface.
Tragically, the injuries sustained proved fatal, leading to Afolabi’s untimely demise.
Oloketuyi expressed his intention to provide additional information at a later time, stating;
“Breaking. Murphy Afolabi is dead. He died from injuries sustained from falling in the bathroom. Details later.”
Adding to the sorrow, Murphy Afolabi’s passing occurred merely days after he joyously celebrated his 49th birthday.
