TINUBU ARRIVES RWANDA FOR AFRICA CEO FORUM

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, to participate in the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum 2026 scheduled to commence on Thursday.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the Nigerian leader was received on arrival at the Presidential Wing of Kigali International Airport by Bianca Ojukwu and Juvenal Marizamunda.

Other government officials present to welcome the President included Jumoke Oduwole, Mohammed Mohammed, Ibrahim Zanna and Sunday Dare.

Tinubu later met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame at the Urugwiro Village, where both leaders held bilateral discussions focused on strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Nigeria and Rwanda.

Established in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation, the Africa CEO Forum is recognised as one of the continent’s leading annual gatherings of business executives, investors and policymakers.

The forum is aimed at promoting Africa’s economic growth through regional integration, expanded trade cooperation and increased cross-border investments.

This year’s theme is, “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to present an address titled, “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will outline the impact and progress of the economic reforms introduced by his administration.

The Nigerian leader is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with African and global investors and business executives as part of efforts to position Nigeria as a preferred investment destination and strengthen regional economic partnerships.

The two-day event, holding from May 14 to 15 at the Kigali Convention Centre, is expected to attract over 2,000 participants, including chief executives, investors, policymakers and several African heads of state.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu will use the platform to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, strategic partnerships and private sector-driven sustainable development across the continent.
