Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems has blasted a troll who tried to mock her physique online.
She recently addressed the ongoing obsession with her appearance with a powerful message.
It all started when a user quoted a video of the singer, writing, “Real one knows she just have big laps not actual ass.”
Reacting via her X account, Tems said that it is very weird for people to keep focusing on the size or shape of her backside.
According to her, while she never thought she would ever need to address it directly, she needs the constant comments about her body to stop.
The songstress revealed that she is absolutely tired of hearing about how small, fat or flat her backside is, stressing that the fixation is now tiring after 7 long years.
“Okay, 7 years in. It’s time to pack it up. I never thought I’d need to say it but you are all weird. ‘It’s small, it’s flat, it’s fat.’
Dog, IT’S MINE,” she wrote.
Tems further noted that people even go as far as telling her to show them her bum when they meet in public, and she has definitely had enough.
She concluded by saying that no one can accuse her of ever hiding her body, and the more people criticize it, the better for her.
“‘Show us your bumbum’ — lol, so me too I will turn and say ‘see 🥰’? Nah, show ME yours first?? See how that feels?
It’s just a body. I will add and lose weight. I never once hid my body, I just didn’t feel the need to prove or disprove anyone.
The more you don’t like my body, the better for me actually.
But it’s enough now. Move on from my bum,” she added.
