Seyi Tinubu bags chieftaincy title in Anambra (Photos)

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, has been conferred with a chieftaincy title in Anambra state.

Seyi was honoured with the title of ‘Nwannedinamba’ by traditional ruler of the Mbaukwu kingdom, Igwe Peter Anukwui.

The ceremony held in Awka South Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, 24th of January 2023.

Speaking during the occasion, Seyi thanked the monarch for the honour and went on to appeal to Anambra state residents to vote for his father in the forthcoming presidential election.

The young Tinubu also addressed the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Awka about his Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential ambition.

Seyi was in the state to galvanize support for his father’s presidential ambition and to reassure the people that the former Lagos state governor, has the interestsof the state at heart.

He said; “Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the experience, tolerance and capacity to change the fortunes of Nigeria for the best.

Everyone has acknowledged that his core strength is his vision for peace, progress and economic development.

He also has a penchant for discovering, nurturing, and empowering talent. Testimonies abound across Nigeria, Igbos, Yorubas, Fulanis, Efiks, Ibibios, Hausas, and all the other tribes.

So I am appealing to Ndi-Anambra and the Igbo region at large to vote for my father because I married an Igbo lady.”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu earlier said South-east indigenes owe him votes in the forthcoming election.

He made the statement on Tuesday during the campaign rally in Abia State, as he dismissed Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi.

Tinubu said Obi is his “tenant” in Lagos and as landlord, he is waiting for the presidential election trump his opponent.

The former governor of Lagos state urged APC supporters in Abia to ensure the party’s victory in the polls.

He said; “You see Lagos how e be? Go there now. You will not want to come back. The man wey won run in Labour Party (Peter Obi), he no fit stay in Anambra. He moved to Lagos. And I am his landlord. I no de worry am. I just dey wait for the day I beat am for election.

“For president, you vote for me. On March 11, they will bring governorship. But before then, on the day you are voting for president, you must vote for senator, right? APC. You will vote for us. After that, go home”.
