“The celebration of Eid Mubarak is a testimony to the power of endurance, obedience and penitence. Like every tunnel of darkness, there is a light at the end.

As we all continue to do our best for a wonderful and prosperous country, I wish all Muslim faithful a wonderful celebration and God’s unending provision. Barka de Sallah,” he said.

The Eid-el-Kabir celebration, a.k.a the Festival of Sacrifice, celebrates Prophet Ibrahim’s readiness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command. It is observed by Muslims all across the globe through prayers, feasting, and acts of generosity.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel’s message reiterates the spirit of religious tolerance that characterizes the country’s diverse society, especially during religious celebrations that unite communities across different ethnic and religious lines.
