Senator gifts security 14 Toyota vehicles, 40 motorcycles, 100 walkie-talkies in Anambra State.

On Monday, Ifeanyi Ubah, a senator from the Anambra South Senatorial District, donated over 100 walkie-talkies, 14 Toyota Sienna sedans, 40 motorcycles, and other security gear to neighborhood security watch groups in Nnewi, Anambra State. According to Ubah, the act was a part of efforts to arm, support, and empower local security officers so they could better handle the escalating unrest in Nnewi and the area.

According to VANGUARD NEWS, Just six months prior, armed assailants assaulted the senator’s vehicle in the Enugwu-Ukwu neighborhood of the state’s Njikoka Local Government Area, killing several of his security people.

The days of armed robbers and other criminals tormenting law-abiding inhabitants in Nnewi and its surroundings are over, he declared. This time, both inside the wilderness and in the towns, criminals won’t have their usual field day.
