Routelink Group, Qualys partner to foster collaboration on cybersecurity

Routelink Group and Qualys have partnered with industry experts in reinforcing calls for comprehensive strategies aimed at addressing new forms of cyber-attacks in the financial sector.

The collaboration is seen as part of efforts to promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices in Nigeria’s digital space.

This was the fallout of the 2025 conference of the Committee of Chief Information Security Officers of Nigerian Financial Institutions (CCISONFI) in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

Themed, ‘Cyber Resilience in a Disruptive World,’ the 2025 conference leveraged the expertise of cybersecurity professionals, innovators, and leaders to share knowledge, best practices, and cutting-edge solutions.

Stanley Oduah, co-founder and Group COO, Routelink Group, stated that the CCISONFI community fosters collaboration and innovation in cybersecurity; enhances knowledge sharing and capacity building; and promotes cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

According to him, both firms are passionate about empowering businesses and individuals with cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. “Routelink Group and Qualys are proud sponsors of this impactful conference,’’ he stated.

He also expressed the growing need for stakeholders in the cybersecurity sector to collaborate in checking activities of cyber criminals, hence the need to support this year’s CCISONFI conference.

According to him, Routelinks Group offers a combined cybersecurity solution for businesses, focusing on risk assessment, threat detection, and prevention.

He disclosed that its solutions prioritize a proactive approach to cybersecurity, including free assessments for businesses to evaluate their risk exposure and prevent attacks like phishing.

Qualys on the other hand, adds a cloud-based platform for vulnerability management, risk assessment, and compliance. Together, they help businesses de-risk their operations and manage cyber threats effectively.

Festus Amede, CCISONFI chairman, called for the inclusion of cyber security studies in Nigeria’s educational curriculum noting that Nigeria’s next generation of defenders would need the right tools and mentorship.

He stated that the conference was an opportunity for stakeholders to “rethink how to secure our systems, train our people, update our processes and policies and partner better with other financial and security agencies.”
