Rejection Made Me Vow To Be A Very Successful Musician – Niniola

Popular singer Niniola has spoken up about the challenges and inspirations that have shaped her music career.

She recently revealed that self-belief and support from loved ones have been responsible for her success as a musician.

Speaking during an interview with VJ Adams on the show Off The Top, Niniola stated that respecting herself and believing in God is the reason she has lasted this long in the music industry.

Niniola disclosed that she is very grateful to her family and friends who kept telling her that her music was good enough, stressing that their validation made it impossible for her to take no as an answer.

According to her, while getting rejected at the early stage of her career hurt her deeply and even made her cry at some point, she never gave up and kept working on improving her craft.

“First of all, I would say respect for myself, believe in myself, believe in God, also my family and friends because they told me constantly that I was good, so it stuck. So when I get the nos, I didn’t give up. I cried, it hurt me. I decided that I would be so good that nobody will be able to question my craft,” she said.

The songstress insisted that the rejection led to her determination to join a live band and hone her performance skills, which ended up helping her to captivate a live audience better.

She concluded by praising God for giving her the grace to discover herself and embrace her passion.

“I am grateful to God, grateful to everyone that has given me an opportunity, to discover myself and rediscover myself.

I miss my father, I was his favourite. I miss that time, the innocence, not playing bills and my family,” she added.
