They demanded that the electoral body respect its own guidelines and review the results of the presidential and state governorship elections.

Photos which were taken at the scene showed the group clad with a touch of black carrying placards bearing various inscriptions.

The words read; “We stand for Justice, we fight for a new Nigeria,” “President Buhari keep your promise,” “Democracy not INECcracy” “who owns Nigeria? The people.”

Meanwhile, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi earlier declared that he won the 2023 presidential election and has proof.

Obi stated this during the first media briefing since after Saturday’s presidential elections, adding that he was robbed of his mandate which he can only retrieve in a court of law.

The former Anambra state governor said the election did not meet the necessary requirements and could not be adjudged credible.

The LP candidate who is currently addressing a world press conference in Abuja said that Nigerians were robbed of their true choice.

He insisted that he would pursue justice through court and was ready to challenge the results till he prove his argument.

Obi said he had challenged several election results and come out victorious and he would be approaching the court with the firm belief of getting justice.

He said; “We’ll explore all legal options to retrieve our mandate. We won the election. I’m fully committed to a better future for the country and nothing can stop that. For the election on Saturday go out there and vote. I’ll be part of it, I assure you.

“Labour Party won the election and I will prove it. I will challenge this rascality for the future of the country. On this issue (presidential election) I am challenging the process. The court exists for this and they have asked me to go to court and I will be going to court,” the former governor added.
