Controversial Nigerian musician, Portable, has accused his girlfriend, Queen Dami, of being responsible for the death of her late husband, Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi III, following a heated outburst on social media.
Queen Dami, who was previously married to the revered monarch and made headlines in 2020 after leaving his palace, has strongly denied the allegations.
In her response, Dami expressed outrage over Portable’s claims, asserting that she had no involvement in the late Alaafin’s demise. She also accused the musician of neglecting her, citing favoritism towards his wife, Bewaji.
“While you bought a car for your wife, Bewaji, you refused to do the same for me. How can you make such false claims about me?” she reportedly said during the ongoing exchange.
The dramatic accusations have sparked widespread reactions on social media, reigniting discussions about Dami’s tumultuous past and her high-profile departure from the Alaafin’s household.
The late Alaafin of Oyo, who passed away in 2022, was one of Nigeria’s longest-serving traditional rulers and a highly respected figure.
