Award-winning Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, best known by his stage name Davido, has waded into the conversation ahead of the upcoming Osun governorship race.

Davido has been raising awareness and advocating for his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who is running for the seat under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Davido went on Twitter to claim that the governorship election in Osun on July 16 will be different from what was recorded in Ekiti State, where votes were sold for various prices.

The father of three expressed confidence that the people of Osun will withstand robbery attempts as it was in the case of 2018.

He wrote:

“Osun is not Ekiti as our people will lawfully resist all attempts to rob them as was done in 2018 … July 16 we shall rejoice ! See y’all soon but for now #Backtotour 🌏”
