NYSC sets November 19 for 2025 batch c orientation across Nigeria

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially set Wednesday, 19th November 2025, as the start date for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course across all camps in Nigeria.

Prospective corps members are expected to report to their designated camps for registration and orientation activities.

Camp registration will run from 19th to midnight on Friday, 21st November 2025.

In a statement signed and released by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, NYSC confirmed that “the swearing-in ceremony holds on Friday, November 21, while the closing ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.”

NYSC has advised all participants to complete their registration within this period to ensure smooth participation in the programme.

The scheme also emphasised that only “about 40 per cent of registered prospective corps members can be accommodated for the upcoming orientation programme” due to capacity constraints across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Those unable to secure placement will be deferred to the next orientation exercise.

Swearing-in and closing ceremonies

According to NYSC, this event formally inducts all registered participants into the national service programme.

The closing ceremony, which signals the end of the orientation course, is set for Tuesday, 9th December 2025.

Participants will complete the final assessments and receive necessary instructions before moving to their primary assignments in various states.

NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, extended good wishes to all prospective corps members, urging them to travel safely and avoid night journeys while commuting to their camps.

He emphasised that safety remains a priority for the scheme.
