No song in Nigeria is better than Asiwaju – Jaywon weighs in on Ruger and BNXN’s superiority contest

Nigerian singer, Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, popularly known as Jaywon has taken sides with Afrobeats sensation, Ruger who clashes on and off with colleague, BNXN.

Days after Ruger and BNXN threw jabs at each other online, Jaywon has stated that Asiwaju is the best song in the music industry at the moment.

According to the Filebe crooner, the single released by Ruger is a complete song which cannot be compared with any other.

He wrote; ”Make I talk my truth, no music sweet pass @rugerofficial asiwaju right now in the whole ducking industry right now and I Dey talk am with my full chest.

F…..king complete song 🔥🔥🔥 Unto the next. If the vibe no pure , I’m on my way out 🤷🏾‍♂️”

In reaction, Ruger who referred to Jaywon as his big brother, thanked him for the praise-singing and declared love for him.

”I love you big brother 🙏🏾 I love you pieces. Thank you so much ❤️”, he wrote.

Meanwhile, Jaywon earlier said that street-hop crooner, Portable is twice as big as Afropop artiste, CKay in Nigeria.

He made the comparison while talking about the growth and popularity of CKay on Jahbless Original Intelligence podcast.

Jahbless revealed that Ckay is the Nigerian artiste with the highest number of subscribers on YouTube, beating industry giants like Wizkid and Burna Boy.

He also opined that the Love Nwantiti hit-maker is not big in the country and Jaywon agreed, adding that Portable is bigger than him in two folds.

They went on to wonder why Ckay is having large streaming numbers and followership despite not being the biggest artiste, and Jaywon said that it is because Afrobeats is now global and not restricted to Nigeria.

Jaywon, in a bid to buttress his point said his biggest song on Spotify is being streamed the most by fans in Auckland and Australia.

He reiterated Ckay is very popular outside the country because the Afrobeats as a genre is off Nigeria and now a globally accepted form of music.
